Filmmaker and actor Kajol‘s father, Shomu Mukherji passed away around 8am on Thursday following a cardiac arrest. He was 65 and is survived by wife Tanuja and daughters Kajol and Tanisha.
Shomu separated from his wife a long time ago, and had been living alone in his Santa Cruz residence. He hadn’t been keeping well and had just returned from hospital, after undergoing a heart surgery.
Shomu Mukherji, son of Sasadhar Mukherji and brother of actors Deb and Joy Mukherji, died on the eve of the release of his son-in-law Ajay Devgan’s directorial debut U Me Aur Hum that also stars Kajol.
My thoughts are with the Mukherji family right now….may his soul rest in peace.
